    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in Ontario.

    Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.

    The 50/50 is a draw where the money received in ticket sales is divided evenly between the winner and the charity.

  4. 4. Important Dates & Draw Information

    Deadline
    Final ticket sales deadline: February 8, 2024 at 12:00:00 p.m. EST

    Draw
    Prize draw: February 8, 2024 at 1:00:00 p.m. EST
    50/50 draw: February 8, 2024 at 1:00:00 p.m. EST

    If for some reason, the draw cannot take place on the draw date listed, a substitute draw date and time will be selected. All ticket purchasers will be able to see the amended draw date and time information posted on the same website the ticket was purchased.

    Draw will be held at Kingston, ON

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All ticket holders are welcome to attend the draw.

    Winners will be posted online at https://veteranshouse.rafflenexus.com/winners on February 8, 2024.

  5. 5. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the Veterans House Charity.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the Veterans House Charity or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

  6. 6. Privacy

    Veterans House Charity does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

  7. 7. Complaints

    Any complaints can be directed to the raffle administrators by emailing: info@veteranshouse.ca. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.

  8. 8. Other

    Please email our team at info@veteranshouse.ca should you require a refund for any ticket purchases or would like to issue a complaint, and we would be happy to assist you.

Cause

The Veterans House Retraining Bursary is a crucial funding source for our Employment Training Program designed specifically for veterans. This program, seamlessly executed as part of our commitment to supporting veterans, ensures that beneficiaries receive the necessary skills and training to successfully reintegrate into the workforce.

This unique accessible media training equips Veterans facing barriers with advanced skills, providing practical work experience and a direct path to media industry employment. Facilitated by certified industry professionals, the program includes paid internships and re-entry support, fostering expertise in studio production, video editing, podcasts, and accessible media. Graduates secure contracts with leading corporations like CBC, TORSTAR, SIRIUS XM, Cogeco, and SickKids. 

Working alongside our service provider, TDC (The Disability Channel), they create impactful media opportunities for Veterans, and some go on to contribute to TDC's global events production. Join us in empowering Veterans for successful careers in accessible media.
